This Resolution of Appreciation was presented at the December 2015 Executive Committee meeting of the Alamance NAACP to Rev. Phil Hardy, pastor of Life’s Journey UCC and Religious Affairs Chair of the ANAACP. We dedicate this resolution to the members of Life’s Journey for the overwhelming generosity and hospitality given to our organization as the church has served as home to the ANAACP. We look forward to continuing our close relationship with Life’s Journey, and wish them the best in this exciting time as they transition to a new home.

Whereas Life’s Journey United Church of Christ Church has been, by the Grace of Almighty God, a place of refuge and a source of strength to people of faith in Burlington North Carolina and the surrounding communities.

Whereas Life’s Journey UCC has worked in partnership with the NAACP to advance the cause of peace, justice and fair play.

Whereas Life’s Journey UCC has afforded the Alamance Branch of the NAACP meeting and office space in order to carry out the work of social justice.

Whereas Life’s Journey UCC has partnered with Bynum Center and the NAACP to feed hundreds of men women and children on the Second Sunday of each month at our community kitchen.

Whereas Life’s Journey UCC has allowed the use of the parking lot as a staging area for numerous marches and a meeting spot for vanpools and caravans.

Whereas the members of Life’s Journey have been always hospitable and courteous partners and true partners in the struggle to end racism and perpetuate the advancement of all.

Be it resolved that the members of the Alamance Branch of the NAACP on December 7, 2015 acknowledge with gratitude your cooperation at 1908 S. Mebane Street; and wish you the best at your new location.
