Ride with Alamance NAACP to the 11th Annual Moral March on Raleigh & HKonJ People’s Assembly. On Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 7:30 am, we will depart on our round-trip buses to Raleigh. We will depart from Alamance Community College in Graham, NC, at 1247 Jimmie Kerr Road. We will arrive in downtown Raleigh by 8:30 am to begin gathering at 2 East South Street for a 9:00 am rally. The 1.1 mile march to Fayetteville St. will begin at 10:00 am, after which will begin the Mass People’s Assembly on the doorstep of the State Capitol. The Mass People’s Assembly will end by 12:30. We will return to the Alamance Community College parking lot by 3:00 pm.
We will march rain or shine. Bring comfortable shoes and weather appropriate clothing. Please pack what you will need. We will not provide food or beverages. Special transportation for elderly and disabled persons will be provided at the event. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. No arrests or civil disobedience are planned.
